In this guide
Padel in Bangkok has gone from a handful of rooftop courts to one of the city's busiest social sports in about three years. New clubs keep opening along the Sukhumvit line, evening slots fill up days ahead, and the Americano nights have become a proper way to meet people, especially for expats who just arrived. The good news: padel is easy to pick up. If you have ever held a tennis or squash racket, you will be rallying within an hour.
This guide covers where to play padel in Bangkok in 2026, what courts and lessons cost in baht, how the social and tournament scene works, and what you need to get started. For dated tournaments, clinics and open nights, check our padel page and the wider sports events listings.
What is padel, in one paragraph
Padel is a doubles racket sport played on a court about a third the size of a tennis court, enclosed by glass walls and mesh fencing. You serve underarm, score like tennis, and the ball can bounce off the walls, which keeps rallies long and forgiving. It is almost always played as doubles, which is why it works so well as a social sport.
Best padel clubs in Bangkok
Clubs open, expand and rebrand quickly, so treat this as a starting map and check each club's booking page for current courts and hours. Most Bangkok clubs take bookings through apps like Playtomic or MATCHi, or their own booking system.
Pad Thai Padel (Thonglor / Ekkamai)
On Soi Saen Sabai off Rama IV, a short ride from BTS Thong Lo or BTS Ekkamai. A modern club with indoor and outdoor courts, a clubhouse bar, a pro shop and a busy calendar of social events. It hosted an Asia Pacific Padel Tour stop, the Pad Thai Padel Grand Slam, in January 2026, so it is also one of the city's more competitive venues. Court hire has been listed from around 1,400 THB per hour.
Kross Padel (On Nut, Phrom Phong, Asoke)
Kross runs several sites. The original club near BTS On Nut (Phra Khanong side) has courts next to a pool, ice bath and sauna, and runs morning yoga and "padel and drinks" socials. There is also a rooftop Sky Club in Phrom Phong, an indoor venue and a branch in Asoke. Published rates start from around 800 THB per hour outdoors and 1,000 THB indoors off-peak, rising to roughly 1,200 to 1,600 THB at peak times depending on the site.
Baan Padel (Sukhumvit 67)
On Sukhumvit Soi 67, between BTS Phra Khanong and BTS On Nut. A larger club with around seven courts, including air-conditioned ones, plus equipment rental, a shop, a restaurant and free parking. It runs a regular programme of Americano, Mexicano and King of the Court nights on Playtomic.
The Padel Co. (Sukhumvit 50)
Near BTS On Nut, sharing space with a basketball club. Indoor and air-conditioned, which matters a lot in April or during a rainy-season downpour. Listed from around 1,400 THB per hour.
Sterling Sport & Wellness (Sukhumvit 24)
Near BTS Phrom Phong, with air-conditioned indoor courts. It hosted the Bangkok stop of the Tatler Padel Series in August 2026, and several independent coaches teach here.
No Drama Padel (Charoen Nakhon, Thonburi side)
Four covered courts near ICONSIAM, easy from the Gold Line or by river. Its published prices are a useful benchmark: 900 THB per court per hour off-peak (weekday daytime) and 1,200 THB at peak, with racket rental at 150 THB.
Others worth knowing
Bangkok Padel on the rooftop of the Ambassador Hotel, Sukhumvit 11 (BTS Nana), was one of the first clubs in the city and is known for Americano nights, but it has been reported as closed for renovation, so check before you go. PlayerBox near MRT Sam Yan combines padel with an arcade and games centre, and Padel Club Bangkok in Pathumwan has floodlit outdoor courts popular after work.
How much does padel cost in Bangkok?
Court prices are per court, not per player, and you split them four ways. Rough 2026 ranges:
- Off-peak court hire: about 800 to 1,000 THB per hour (weekday daytime).
- Peak court hire: about 1,200 to 1,600 THB per hour (evenings and weekends).
- A 90-minute game for four at peak: typically 1,800 to 2,400 THB, so around 450 to 600 THB each.
- Racket rental: usually 100 to 200 THB.
- Americano or social nights: mostly around 500 to 900 THB per player on current listings.
- Private lessons: roughly 1,400 to 2,900 THB per hour including court, depending on the coach and venue.
- Group clinics: often 750 to 1,500 THB per person.
Prices change often and promotions are common, so confirm on the booking app before you go.
Coaching and how to start
If you are new, book one private or semi-private lesson first. After that, most people learn fastest simply by playing.
Most clubs run beginner clinics, ladies' sessions, kids' academies and level-based group classes. Several independent coaches also work across venues; some, like Padel Bangkok at Sterling, sell lesson packs that bring the per-session price down.
Finding people to play with
- Americanos are the easiest way in: sign up solo, the club rotates partners every few games, and you meet a dozen players in two hours.
- Playtomic open matches let you join a game posted by others at your level.
Tournaments and leagues
Bangkok's competitive scene is growing. Clubs run internal ladders, monthly Americano tournaments and corporate leagues, and the city now draws international events: the Asia Pacific Padel Tour stopped at Pad Thai Padel in January 2026, and the Tatler Padel Series came to Bangkok in August 2026. There is also a national circuit, the Thai Padel Series, with pro and amateur categories. Dates for the next season are announced late, so we add them to the padel calendar as soon as they are confirmed.
Gear: what you actually need
You do not need to buy anything for your first few sessions. When you are hooked:
- Racket: a round-shaped, softer racket is more forgiving for beginners. Expect roughly 3,000 to 8,000 THB for a decent entry-level model; top-end rackets cost much more.
- Shoes: padel or clay-court tennis shoes with a herringbone sole. Running shoes have poor side support on the artificial grass.
- Balls: padel balls (slightly lower pressure than tennis balls) come in tubes of three; clubs sell them.
Practical tips for playing padel in Bangkok
- Book early for evenings. Peak slots from 6 PM to 10 PM go days in advance; weekday mornings are cheaper and easier.
- Mind the heat. Outdoor courts at midday from March to May are brutal. Choose indoor or air-conditioned courts, or play early or late.
- Rainy season (roughly June to October) means covered courts are worth paying extra for.
- Take the BTS. Most clubs are a short motorbike taxi or Grab ride from a Sukhumvit line station; parking can be tight.
- Respect court time. Sessions start and end on the hour or half hour; arrive ten minutes early to warm up.
- Hydrate properly. Add electrolytes for anything longer than 90 minutes.
Padel fits nicely with the rest of Bangkok's sporting life. Plenty of players also run with the city's clubs (see our Bangkok running races calendar) or train for hybrid races (see our HYROX and fitness races guide).
