Watching football in Bangkok is easy once you know two things: what time the Premier League kicks off in Thai time, and where the local clubs actually play. This guide covers both. It explains how to convert English kick-off times, how matches are broadcast in Thailand, how to find a bar showing your game, and how to get to a live Thai League 1 match at Port FC, BG Pathum United or Bangkok United, with real fixtures from our calendar.

Last checked: October 2026. Fixtures and kick-off times move for TV, so always confirm with the club or league before you travel.

Premier League kick-off times in Bangkok

Thailand stays on UTC+7 all year. The UK switches between GMT (UTC+0) in winter and BST (UTC+1) in summer, so the gap is 7 hours in winter and 6 hours in summer. UK clocks went back on 25 October 2026 and go forward again on 28 March 2027.

From now until late March 2027, the usual UK slots convert like this:

UK kick-off (GMT) Bangkok time
Saturday 12:30 19:30 Saturday
Saturday 15:00 22:00 Saturday
Saturday 17:30 00:30 Sunday
Saturday 20:00 03:00 Sunday
Sunday 14:00 21:00 Sunday
Sunday 16:30 23:30 Sunday
Weekday 19:30 02:30 next day
Weekday 20:00 03:00 next day

From 28 March 2027 to the end of the season, take one hour off: a 15:00 UK kick-off is 21:00 in Bangkok and the evening games start at 02:00. The Premier League has confirmed that the 2026-27 season ends on Sunday 30 May 2027.

The good news for fans in Bangkok is that the classic Saturday 3 PM English kick-off, which is not shown live on UK television, lands at a very civilised 10 PM here and is broadcast in Thailand. The bad news is the big Sunday afternoon game and anything in midweek: you are looking at a late night or a very early alarm.

How the Premier League is broadcast in Thailand

Jasmine International (JAS) holds the Premier League rights for Thailand for six seasons, from 2025-26 to 2030-31. In practice that means:

  • MONOMAX, the JAS streaming app, carries the live matches. Annual and monthly sports packages are sold through the app.
  • AIS Play carries the same coverage for AIS mobile and 3BB home internet customers.
  • MONO29, a free-to-air channel, shows selected big matches.

This is a change from the long TrueVisions era, so older guides that tell you to get a TrueVisions box are out of date for the Premier League. Prices change around the start of each season, so check the current packages in the app.

Finding a bar showing the match

Most Bangkok bars that show football are on or near Sukhumvit (Nana, Asok, Phrom Phong and Thonglor), in Silom, and around the old town. British and Irish-style pubs are the most reliable for Premier League games, and many have several screens and a printed or posted weekly schedule. Hotel sports bars are another option if you want somewhere quieter.

A few practical tips:

  • Check the schedule before you go. Pubs usually post which match is on which screen on their social media pages on Friday or Saturday. On busy weekends with several 10 PM kick-offs, the screen with sound goes to the biggest crowd.
  • Book for big games. Liverpool, Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea all have large Thai followings, and a top-of-the-table clash or derby fills popular pubs early.
  • Watch the late kick-offs. Many venues close around midnight to 2 AM, and only some licensed venues in designated zones can stay open later. For a 00:30 or 03:00 kick-off, confirm the bar will actually be open before you settle in. Our closing times guide explains which areas stay open until 4:00.
  • Supporters' clubs. Several big clubs have official or fan-run supporters' groups in Thailand that gather at a regular bar. Search for "[your club] supporters club Thailand" on social media.

For a broader night out after the match, see our Bangkok nightlife guides. For other things happening the same evening, check events tonight and this weekend.

Thai League 1 in 2026-27: the Bangkok-area clubs

The 2026-27 Thai League 1 season runs from 4 September 2026 to 30 May 2027 with 16 clubs. Buriram United are the dominant force, but three of the most watchable clubs for anyone based in Bangkok play in or just north of the city. Note that Muangthong United, once a Bangkok-area regular, were relegated and play in Thai League 2 this season.

Thai League kick-offs are usually in the evening to avoid the heat, but times are set and changed close to matchday, so check before you go. On our calendar, matches with no confirmed time show only the date.

Port FC at PAT Stadium

Port FC are the easiest club to see without leaving the city. PAT Stadium sits in the Khlong Toei port district, close to the river, and is a compact ground where the stands are right on top of the pitch. Port's orange-and-blue support is loud, and the club has a long-standing following among Bangkok expats. The nearest MRT stations are Khlong Toei and Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre; from either, a short taxi or motorbike taxi gets you to the gate.

BG Pathum United and Bangkok United at True BG Stadium

True BG Stadium (also listed as Pathum Thani Stadium, and formerly known as Leo Stadium or BG Stadium) is on Rangsit-Nakhon Nayok Road in Thanyaburi, Pathum Thani. From this season it is shared by BG Pathum United and Bangkok United under a partnership deal, so there is football there most weekends. Plan on around 40 minutes by car from central Bangkok without traffic, and longer on a Friday or Saturday evening. There is no convenient rail link, so a taxi or ride-hailing app is the practical choice. Agree a return pickup or allow time to find a ride after the final whistle.

Buying Thai League tickets

Thai League tickets are far cheaper than European football and rarely sell out for ordinary league games. The usual options are:

  • At the stadium on matchday. For most league games you can buy at the ticket booths before kick-off. Arrive 45 minutes early for big games.
  • Club channels. Clubs announce sales on their official Facebook and LINE accounts. BG Pathum United has sold tickets through its online shop (bgpuonlineshop.com); for a 2023 J.League Asia Challenge match, prices there were 160 to 280 baht, with a presale for season members first.
  • Big games and AFC nights. For the Port derby, Champions League ties and any match against Buriram, buy in advance through the club's announced channel.

Avoid resale sites listing Thai League tickets at inflated prices. The official route is cheaper and the only one guaranteed to get you in.

Thailand national team at Rajamangala

The Thailand national team, the War Elephants, play their biggest home games at Rajamangala National Stadium in Bang Kapi. It hosted ASEAN Cup knockout games in August 2026. At the time of writing we could not confirm any national team home fixture in Bangkok for November 2026 to March 2027. When one is announced, it will appear on our football page and the Bang Kapi area page. Rajamangala is in the east of the city with no station at the door, so allow for a taxi and heavy traffic on match nights.

Youth and grassroots football

Not everything is about watching. The Barça Academy APAC Cup 2026 youth tournament is listed for late November at the Bangkok Thonburi University Sports Complex. For playing yourself, Bangkok has a large casual five-a-side and seven-a-side scene on rented artificial pitches. See our weekend sports in Bangkok guide for how to find a game.

Planning a football weekend in Bangkok

A good Saturday for a fan in the cool season might look like this: a Thai League game in the early evening, then back into town for the 10 PM Premier League kick-off. Check this week's events and the December calendar for clashes with concerts or road closures. If you also want to see a live combat sport, our muay thai guide covers fight nights at Rajadamnern and Lumpinee.
